I was introduced to Baptiste Power Yoga in 2014. At first I thought it was crazy, sweaty, hot, gross, and uncomfortable. It was not exactly love at first sight, but something kept drawing me back…to Brandon’s podcasts and to the Boston Baptiste studios…again and again. Then I attended Baptiste Level 1 training and Art of Assisting in 2015. After these trainings, I knew I wanted to teach.
I graduated from Babson College with a business degree in 2010, and began working in finance. Everything looked great on paper, but something was missing. I felt exhausted, drained, sick, sad, hopeless, and in pain, trying desperately to keep it all together. From a place of darkness I felt something wake up inside of me—a deep knowing that my life was not supposed to be painful. I enrolled in 200-hour teacher training and a 3-year training in energy medicine. Slowly, with my yoga practice as my ally, I began changing everything that wasn’t working in my life. It wasn’t easy, but it was soooooo worth it.
I can finally say with confidence that I am doing what I love. To be able to share this life-changing practice with others is a dream come true. Through teaching, my aim is to guide students to their own inner wisdom and clarity so they can access the courage to create what they truly want in their lives.
