I discovered yoga as a way to heal from a running injury and have been intrigued, inspired and transformed ever since. I took my first Baptiste Yoga class in 2002 and was drawn in immediately. Coming from a competitive running background, the intensity grabbed my attention, but I soon realized there was more to this practice than its physicalness. After 15 years of practicing and over 12 years of teaching, so much transformation has occurred it’s unbelievable to me. On my mat I’ve discovered my center and soul, my strength and breath, and my health and vitality. These ongoing discoveries are what inspire me to continue my own practice and process, as a teacher and a student.
I took an assistant training at the Baptiste Institute (BI) in 2004 and completed Level One teacher trainings with BI in 2005 and 2014, and a Level Two training in 2005. In 2015, I became a certified Baptiste Power Vinyasa Yoga teacher. As a trained physical therapist and massage therapist, I am hands-on in my classes to support and guide students into their most centered, strong, expansive selves.
I’m honored, grateful and excited to be a part of the teaching team and the community at Baptiste Power Yoga Boston. I practice daily, inspired by Baron Baptiste’s way of being and his words, "Share your shine!"
When I’m not teaching yoga, you can find me hanging around my house, writing, dancing, or with family and friends.
