I stumbled upon Baptiste Yoga on a friend’s recommendation in December 2002 when I conveniently moved down the street from the original flagship Baptiste Yoga studio. As a former competitive swimmer, I was sure that my “high intensity” lifestyle and yoga would not mesh. After one class, I was in awe of the physical and mental breakthroughs I experienced and was excited to be challenged in a way I never had thought possible. I was impacted so profoundly by my yoga practice that I left a 10-year career as a scientist to teach yoga full time, and have been teaching in the Boston area since 2007. With a degree in Biology from Clark University, I am fascinated by the intersection between science and yoga.
I am a 500-hour Certified Baptiste teacher and an E-RYT 500 through Yoga Alliance. I have trained extensively with Baron Baptiste, regularly assist Baron at trainings and programs, and formerly managed the Baptiste Institute’s Certification Department supporting teachers aspiring to become certified in the Baptiste style.
My classes, rooted in Baptiste methodology, offer simple and concrete tools to access a deeply physical experience that will challenge your perspective of your world off your mat and invite you to smile with me along the way.
