I found Baptiste Power Yoga during an intense period of change in 2021 and it became the one consistent thing in my life. The practice welcomed me just as I was and forged a path back to my inner voice that allowed me to hear it clearly again amidst the noise. As a former athlete on both competitive and recreational rowing teams, I was astonished at the clarity, contentment, and strength that arose from the combination of poses and heat. It ignited a fire within me that has since remained lit and touched all areas of my life.

I completed my first 200-hour teacher training with Brandon and Naima in 2023. It is my honor to take what I have learned from this transformative practice and pay it forward to my students in the form of teaching. My intention is to engender hope, resilience, and possibility in the hearts of my students by sensitizing the body through the power of awareness. With my background in psychiatry, including conducting clinical research on the antidepressant effects of hot yoga, my hope is that this practice can serve as a foundational pillar in my students’ personal growth and healing journeys, just as it has for mine.
