When I took my first Baptiste Power Yoga class in 2011, I had been exploring various styles of yoga classes, but hadn’t yet found “the one.” I was more than a little apprehensive about the heat, but by the end of class, I felt exhausted, exhilarated, and truly at home. This practice and this community has been a pillar of my life ever since.

Before I found yoga, I played competitive Ultimate Frisbee for 15 years. As much as I loved it, it took a toll on my knees, hamstrings and shoulders. Baptiste Yoga has allowed me to continue to enjoy my passion for endurance activities while simultaneously taking care of body and building new strength.

I completed my first 200-hour teacher training with Brandon and Naima at Baptiste Power Yoga Boston in 2023. I am excited to take what I’ve learned from a leadership career in health care to serving students on the mat.

In my classes, I encourage students to delve into their own development because, at the end of the day, we are our own best teachers. I love journeying with students on their path to self-discovery both on and off the mat.
